Asking $10,000/offers. Will accept partial trades.
Here's the deal: Its time for me to purchase a house, and the "more cash, less sports car" route seems to be a good idea. Just for that little boost. I'm not one to own a car for more than a year, never have been. However, I've had this for 3, that's how much I enjoy it...
I'm a huge Toyota guy and always wanted a Supra. Until I discovered this thing; the "wolf in sheep's clothing"... Let me break it down: You've got the same chassis as a Supra MKIV Twin Turbo, AND the engine. Its the same damn car, but with a VIP look and half the price. Same body as a SC300 or SC400. Ok, not the exact same, its a 1JZ-GTE, 2.5L twin turbocharged inline 6cyl. Mated to a beefy R154 5speed manual transmission. I've only ever seen two other 5speed Soarers. The 1JZ has 1000rpm on a 2JZ because of the shortened stroke, so the horsepower output is the same.
Now onto this specific car. I'll just list things. 132,000 KM. Full tuneup, plugs, filters, etc. RWD, 5speed, turbo... I have NOT put it on the track.. (terrified I'll put it into a wall) Cloth interior. Not that baby-poo brown/tan leather stuff. I wanted cloth and I looked for it. Car currently has: MVP Motorsports Maxair intake. Synapse Synchronic Blow off Valve (BOV). its open on vacuum, for wicked throttle response. Optima Battery. H.I.D. Xenon headlights, high and low beams. 6000kelvin Tein Driftspec coilovers. They're height and dampening adjustable, AND stupid expensive.... Currently running 14-15psi of boost, can be upped with a boost controller. 18psi would be the max I'd go though. Turbosmart fuel cut defender, allowing more than 12psi without that pesky fuel/spark shutoff. Autometer air/fuel gauge and Boost gauge. I'm not risking over-boost and under-fueling in my baby. Also comes with a turbo-timer. HKS downpipe, stuck to a Apex'I N1 catback. Full 3 inch exhaust, sounds pretty sweet. (I've got a silencer too in the trunk) Its got 17" wheels, wider on the back than the front, and the rubber is still good.
I'm sure I'm missing something. I know this car inside and out though. So any questions just ask.
The car has a dent/ripple in the left door, Its not bad, and if you want I'll tell you the story when you look at the car.... oh, and the Soarer is going to need brake pads at some point... But whats that here? Oh look! brand new Hawk pads on my desk... I just haven't had time to put them in yet... I can do beforehand if you want though. Other than that, its pretty nice. Its from Japan, so its got some tiny bits here and there on the interior, but nothing I've been bothered by.
Oh, and this car WILL hang with a twin turbo 6speed Supra. If you want more horsepower, the factory forged internals are good up to 700. If you're so inclined to make a total sleeper beast I can point you in the direction of some killer deals on 500+HP single turbo kits. I just never felt I needed any more. No it has not been dyno'd but you can watch YouTube videos of 1JZ Soarers making 300+WHP through automatics all day long. With less mods. So if people ask, I just say 300whp. I feel its a conservative estimate.
I'm open to offers, nothing super low or insulting please. I'm already taking a loss, and I know what I need to get out of it. I also don't NEED to sell it. So just shoot me an email and we'll see. I looked at pricing the last few weeks and I've seen Soarers in this condition for this price around online. I've also seen JDM non-turbo Supras for way more, and TT ones for twice.
Trades I'm interested in: Something small and sporty. Think Civic hatchback or 240sx. Celica's, MR2s, even a Sentra coupe. Mid sized 4x4 vehicles; 4Runners, Jeep Cherokees, Rangers, Dakotas, shortbox V8 fullsize pickups, etc. Cool/different cars; turbocharged things, Volkswagens with VR6s, maybe even a rotary.... maybe....
Trades I should probably go for. Fuel efficient, reliable transportation. God it sucks growing up.
